Msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll

Post by fusan »

Hi

I cant start up the portable version of Freecad 0.18.1 (FreeCAD-0.18.16110.f7dccfa-WIN-x64-portable.7z).
Theres is a thread about downloading and installing some C++ but it still gives me the same errors. I have no problem running
the earlier version: 0.17.13541. I even copied those two files from the old to the new BIN folder, but then I get a 0x0000007b error.
Anyone have a clue how to solve this?

The 64 bit build uses msvcr14 now and indeed the files are missing. I will fix this. Thanks for reporting.

Does the bin directory have the sub-directory platforms which then includes qwindows.dll? On a system where you have compiled Qt it's very easy to overlook this fact because there it finds the dll automatically.

Sorry, can you try again now? I uploaded and downloaded and tested, so I think it's fixed.

Not the problem here, but this helped me with the resource folder, sibling to bin, for apeltaurs libpack.

Yep, now it works (and is the double size of the previous downlad).
Thanks
