I agree. Only thing to be considered is the extra work that it will give to admins. ;)

I had considered that as well, but I suspect there aren't a lot of new users registering for the bug tracker, and I'll bet some just have a one-off issue they want to file, which probably means they don't really need to register.

Of course - I really don't know, and I'm not an admin, so it's no extra work for me :lol:

Still, I can't imagine it would be a great burden to manage since we already handle Wiki-editing permissions this way without issue.

I have deleted it! A few years ago we already had several spam tickets.
