I accept kisolre's model as an improvement over the one I submitted.

Re: Recreating a Libre/Open Source Otoscope in FreeCAD
I admit that the screen is less cluttered. However maybe the fact that the hexagon is "almost regular but not exactly" can be error prone. I originally model it with things that geometrically makes sense to me (hence the criss-cross 4 triangles ). But I know from past discussions that it may not be shared by others.
Anyway @tarek, if kisolre's proposal seems valuable to you, tell it and I (or other) can submit a new accordingly modified model.
Not to say that this is what TheMarkster mean, but on my side I absolutely don't want to be considered as some kind of "maintainer" of the models I uploaded. They are offered as is, and community should feel free to modify/improve/overwrite them.TheMarkster wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 4:22 pm I accept kisolre's model as an improvement over the one I submitted.

Well done GlouGlou.
However in a long-term approach, I think it's not a good thing that the design is directly linked to original mesh with projected then interpolated curve. A design from scratch will probably last longer.
Re: Recreating a Libre/Open Source Otoscope in FreeCAD
For the assembly, It's better to use a simple copy shape, I think.

Which part is still missing?
Re: Recreating a Libre/Open Source Otoscope in FreeCAD
Hello friends,
Just a quick note that I just returned back from Gaza yesterday night and so I'm quite behind at the moment. I'll look at everything above and try to get things sorted out asap. I'll post here with the remaining items as per GlouGlou's request above.
