What about an offset feature in Sketcher? It could make a new full constrained sketch from an other one with an only one dimension.

Would love to see offset implemented in Sketcher as well. It would make building up relative sketches significantly easier.

I think this is different from what Normand talks in his ticket.

This is how I understand it:
GlouGlou: Create a new sketch from an existing one with the possibility to move the whole sketch e.g. in its z-direction
issue #3708: Make a 2D offset inside of Sketcher around an existing sketch.

As I don't think this is the big part in the coding effort, maybe this can be variants.
Keeping the original items can be an option.
Original sketch can optionally be an external one.

In the ticket it's mentioned that it will be implemented in 0.19, is this still true?
