@ Kunda1 Thanks for the links. It looks like swapping out the config files might be a better choice for setting up a system, parsing all that looks like a long road.

Yeh! I think your right, it's time to start another thead for 2D sketch 3D view.

Oh yea! you can start FC with a different .cfg file from the CLI:

  -u [ --user-cfg ] arg     User config file to load/save user settings

The absolute best to get people interested: get basic FreeCAD course going. Ask for funding for a 300$ 3D Printer. That's the most exciting thing for any beginner. Switching from virtual to the real world.
