Tomorrow was talking about STEP AP 242 with Yorik when he mentioned this post and the invaluable job you do
So, I think there's a need to compare STEP AP 242, especially Product and manufacturing information (PMI) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Product_a ... nformation) part with IFC and also related STEPs to find that changes and how can we implement it on BIM and also PLM world
What do you think?

Yes, we can start an project on github to share development on a step-parser/interpreter.
I have some code I can contribute,
bu t having the discussion here in the forum is for the starting period the better way:
Having one thread to read to be up to date is simpler than running through to many logs.
