Hello, I had already opened a thread on the subject although I had no meaningful answers https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=36448
In the Solidworks workflow for example, it is possible to edit a part in an assembly context and even interrelate geometries between the parts in the assembly. Here you can watch a video to better understand what I mean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Cl17CpR4Hg
When you enter the editing of the part, you can edit any attribute of it, including the sketch of the part and take dimensions with respect to other parts of the assembly. But the rest of the pieces in the assembly don't disappear, they just become transparent so it's pretty easy to know how to edit a piece with respect to the rest of the assembly.
Nowadays, when we work on assembly benches, if a piece doesn't fit properly, we have to take the dimension of how much it should grow or shrink to adjust the sketch of it. After determining how much it should grow, we enter the part's edit file and make the corresponding changes and then update the part. Since we can't see the rest of the parts of the assembly, many times this becomes a complicated job.
I think the current workflow for editing parts in an assembly makes it very difficult to interrelate geometries with the rest of the assembly.
Is this issue contemplated in any assembly bench?
I hope you can help me out. Thanks

Please read the big Assembly4 thread. In context assembly is discussed there by various people.dcapeletti wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 11:17 am In the Solidworks workflow for example, it is possible to edit a part in an assembly context and even interrelate geometries between the parts in the assembly. ...
