  • I have followed the development since I saw the announcement to see where it goes
  • I installed today with FC 0.20 (master source build today, with OCCT 7.6) the functions I tested seem to work as indicated
  • It may be a good option for those new users who are familiar Sketchup, it may feel more familiar
  • I will install it occasionally to see how it progresses, but, I don't find the tools something I'd add to my personal workflow
  • (Note: this is because I just don't think or design in the push/pull mode)
Side note: First thing I did was go to preferences looking for a way to turn off the &*$@ grid.
Umm...no preferences, ok, try GR to turn off like in Draft WB, nope.
Did I mention I hate grids?
Writing the preferences was not easy for me.. still I am not good at it. I will do it some day ..but not now.
Grid is a must for my WB. See even Grid is a must for Draft .. why? because you must know where you are drawing.
And personally, I am in reverse of you .. I don't like the world without coordinates. sorry.
I will add your suggestion to preferences, which I don't recommend.

The axis cross is sufficient for me.

I do not use the grid in Draft or Sketcher.

So you mean that I should keep the axis but not the grid?

I can only speak to my workflow.

I keep the axis cross on all the time and grids off all the time. ;)

But there are folks who swear by grids.

But you know, I make it as a separate preferences option .. good to know thanks.

mariwan wrote: Fri Dec 03, 2021 2:41 pm I often download the weekly build and use it.. no installation.
Try to update your version and let me know if the problem still exist
I don't download the weekly version very often. But I did yesterday.
I can't update my version any more until the weekly version get updated. But I doubt it will work for this WB.

Finally it starts.

What's the difference between the two sets of view change tools?

The Draft version of the view doesn't change the plane you are drawing at.
But the green (mine) will change the grid to be on that plane (Right, left ..etc)
that is the difference.
