Thank you,
we are slowly getting there (sorry  )
I know this, but that means it is simply gone from status bar, but that leaves it hanging and looking for somewhere to be placed.

I want to delete/remove (not move, not deactivate) a Measure toolbar that you have added to the status bar. please.

I don't need it either in taskbar or anywhere else (I already have it where I want it)
Is it possible?

Thanks!
so this is a standard toolbar controlled by view>toolbars
sound like I was confused (easily done at my age) - I thought that was specifically customised by you to be part of taskbar...
sorry for all these questions and thank you for your patience.

DynamicData has a setting for keeping the toolbar active when leaving the workbench.

Hi Petrikas, I am having difficulty using new overlay mode from Realthunder (see: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 49#p562400)
I have tried his overlay mode on a clean/virgin installation (new OS, new FreeCAD and no Vertical UI) and it is behaving fine.

Have you used this overlay mode with Vertical UI? did you experience any problems?

Not sure what the problem is.

There are four states of the 'Dockable Widgets' :
- Undocked (floating), works the same as vanilla FreeCAD
- Docked, works the same as vanilla FreeCAD
- Docked, non-transparent overlay, FreeCAD Link only
- Docked, transparent overlay, FreeCAD Link only

All these are controlled with small icons on the top right of the dockable window. All four states work as intended on my end.
