But what is the point of a ground plane if it is not covering the ground, then it is just a plane in the air!
The simplicity is perfect as it is, but the margin just needs to be 100 times bigger!
Edit:
Hacked the python files from the git page
This is perfect (the ground is the render looks bad ):

I was just doing the same, but adding it as a parameter in the project...
So, from now, there is a 'Ground Plane Size Factor' parameter in the project, you can set the value you want (default is 1, but any float value is allowed).

At this moment, but when we get nice renders with ease it will be awesome!
I am trying to start working in linux. It's not really easy so it's gonna take me some time!

Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!
Help, I can't seem to get the Render Workbench to work on my Windows installation. I keep getting the following error messages, such as the following:
18:36:45 Running the Python command 'Render_Render' failed:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Users\Andrei\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD\Mod\Render\Render.py", line 1056, in Activated
project.Proxy.render()
File "C:\Users\Andrei\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD\Mod\Render\Render.py", line 586, in render
ImageGui.open(img)
Could not load image file
I've attached a file that I'm working on. The individual objects are brought together using Assembly 4, and this is supposed to be used as a guide for assembling a larger machine. I need renders for the guide, and the Raytracing WB and POV-Ray Rendering WB can't add the objects into view for some reason (I think because Assembly 4 only links to the documents containing the original Body).
I'd rather work on this using assemblies because there are over 100 parts in the machine I'm modeling, and one sub-assembly will repeat 108 times!
Please help me!

Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!
Hello,
It appears that your files do not contain any rendering project, is that normal?
If I add a rendering project in 'V-1906 Tangential Creel_individual feed rail-assm', I can get the following rendering: I attach the modified FCStd, for illustration.
Is that OK for you?
