Thank you for starting a thread for this.
I don't exactly know whose code this is a bug in, but I suspect it's in opencascade's.
I've filed a report there too: https://tracker.dev.opencascade.org/view.php?id=32264

I've seen a similar issue with other software (cadquery) that uses occt's step export feature and filed a bug there too!

Fix is included in upstream OCCT 7.5.2 (check ticket for details)

What version of FreeCAD is available with OCC 7.5.2? Weekly builds up to 0.20.24847 are still using 7.5.1, and the newest 0.19.2 release is using 7.4.0?

As of (at least) 0.20.24910 the OCC version is 7.5.2.

I tested on a few problem parts, and everything seems to be working correctly, thanks!
