Re: A request for a small improvement of the spreadsheet...

Have some feature requests, feedback, cool stuff to share, or want to know where FreeCAD is going? This is the place.

Moved from Developers forum. You post there for questions if you are developing yourself.

Ok, here are comments.

What purpose does "exact size" have? If it looks OK and works OK why does the precise number of pixels matter?

Non-metric units in FreeCAD work fairly well for the most part, but there are still gaps. At the same time the motivation for additional refinements and the necessary coding changes are likely to come from the same population of users.

(I use Imperial decimal almost exclusively.)

Start coding! :ugeek:

It would be easier to estimate how the table looks like on a TechDraw page.

there is no locking in other places, so we shouldn't introduce it here. If you don't want to have something changed, don't change it. Same here.

Gene It will be very cool if you do that update.
I didn't understand that Gene would do it, it's rather you who should start coding.

You can show the column size in the status bar, then no new popup is needed.

This is a legitimate discussion and should not be removed.
