[SOLVED UPSTREAM] Ticket #4711 - "connect failed: No such file or directory"
This issue reared it's head again. IIRC it was related to 3dconnexion mice?
Anyone know if this is a regression of previous fix or something unrelated?

Re: Ticket #4711 - "connect failed: No such file or directory"
Yes - this is the 3D Connexion startup -- it gets noisy when you have the library, but aren't running the mouse daemon.
Re: Ticket #4711 - "connect failed: No such file or directory"
Could we patch something on our end or do we need to submit changes upstream?
edit:
I asked upstream: https://github.com/FreeSpacenav/spacenavd/issues/56

Re: Ticket #4711 - "connect failed: No such file or directory"
OK, so apparently upstream says these messages were removed -2 years ago- (ref)
But they didn't release it.
tl;dr its solved upstream but hasn't been released. So they may do a minor release soon.

Re: Ticket #4711 - "connect failed: No such file or directory"
they mention a SPNAV_SOCKET environment variable in the changelog, do you have any idea if this may solve the flatpak issues with it? IIRC flatpaks couldn't get access to the default socket because it was in /varKunda1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 1:37 pm Upstream has released a new version

Actually the first time I've heard this. Thanks for asking on downstream flathub. Hopefully it does. the spnav dev is engaged so it may merit asking directlyadrianinsaval wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 5:22 pm do you have any idea if this may solve the flatpak issues with it?
