Normally when doing a 2D model of something, I surround the model with a box to represent the atmosphere or some such. But this model (see attachment) Is so irregular that that doesn't work. With the model shown, gmsh meshes over the whole model. Does anyone have any suggestions for handling this situation?

Re: Surrounding irregular object with atmosphere
It appears that gmsh is meshing the box and all the different sections of your model separately. I haven't used gmsh enough to know how to get it to stop doing that (maybe you forgot to merge the box & model?), but it looks like you're trying to model internal flow, which can be done without a surrounding atmosphere. What you can do instead is make the places where fluid is coming into your part inlet boundaries and the places where it is leaving outlet boundaries.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately part of the modeling is to see the mixing of different gasses. The problem extends beyond the outlet nozzle.
