I want to change the dimension of the base but my original sketch is gone! How do I get the sketch of the base back?

Re: How do I change the dimensions?
Expand the tree in the Tree view and use the space bar to toggle the hidden status.
Not sure why you created the main portion with Part Design workbench (the Body) then switched to Part workbench. You should avoid mixing Part and Part Design workbench. They aren't interchangeable and in most cases you can do everything with either, thus avoiding unnecessary mixing.
A read and work through of the the examples in this link is a good idea:

Re: How do I change the dimensions?
I am a new FreeCAD user. The reason I made the design is called "I don't know any better". I made the design base on what I already know which is not much. I tried to produce what I needed as quickly as possible. I watched a few youtube videos on how to cut holes in the cylinder. I followed the process which is using Part Design to produce the base and the hollow cylinder. The instructor then switches to Parts to make cylinders and uses boolean to cut the holes. It worked until I want to change the dimensions. Thanks.

Re: How do I change the dimensions?
* Pad + Pad001 + Pocket -> Revolution !
* DatumPlane useless (the sketch can have the same attachment)
* Sketch003 don't need to 'touch' the cylinder : keep it at the origin then Pocket through all.
* Support upon Face = TNP (Topological_naming_problem)

Re: How do I change the dimensions?
There're more bad than good videos online. It's not easy to tell the difference for a beginner. And the version of FreeCAD used in the video is important too. Please have a look at the Wiki first: Tutorials
