Postby jmaustpc » Mon Sep 15, 2014 9:39 am

Hi all

Master today is 3994, so its only 6 commits short of 4000 since FreeCAD moved to git. :)

Its only a number...but a big one and worth a comment I think. :)

Ah! I was wondering why FC releases got re-numbered after 0.12.52XX...

... because we didn't import our SVN commits into git when we switched.

First:
Congratulations to ALL, who EVER contributed to this great program.
Thanks for spending your time (and nerves) to improve this software.

Second:
Since we are already 300 commits ahead of the stable Windows-Releases, would it be too greedy to
ask for a development snapshot for the windows versions within the next two or three weeks?
Or are you waiting for some special updates to be finished and pulled first ?
I have to admit that i have absolutely no idea how much effort wmayer (?) has to invest to do
an "actual" compilation.

Uuuuh, i almost forgot to add a big pleeeeaaaase ...

Have you ever been thinking of using FreeCAD on Ubuntu. You get a daily build of FreeCAD just with your Ubuntu Software Updater. The only thing you have to do every day is press the ok-button. Latest_Stable_Release_from_the_PPA

BTW: Norm and Werner, thanks very much for that ppa!

For me we can do one soon (although there is not much to put on the release notes :) )
But It's normand, peter and werner who have the biggest hassle... I let them decide!
