Maybe you need a special feature, go into Macros_recipes and Code_snippets, Topological_data_scripting.

Glad to hear it is working for you. For future reference, you should not replace the contents of the FreeCAD 0.14 folder with a development snapshot -- just keep it in its own folder.
mario52 wrote:ps: What is a "FCAutoBuild"
It is the name of a script that I wrote to automatically create and upload development snapshots. (the link is to its github repo)

Merry Christmas!

They are not part of FreeCAD's master source code so they should not be added to the official snapshots. This has already been discussed in this topic.

Adding python modules is very easy.

Thanks Normandc,
IMHO as we have transitioned form 14.37xx for windows, to Unofficiall dev snapshots, to Official dev snapshots. I think the stated goal should be (and I think it is) to mimic the linux PPA's.

FreeCad exists on several levels:

The official "stable" releases
The official "bleeding edge" compiled from master. (This would be the Linux PPA's and the NEW Windows dev snapshots)
Actively developed branches and add-on's to the official master
Anything else that someone chooses to do.

See earlier in this thread why and how. I have been educated by the discussion.
FreeCAD is the model of a FOSS project in this respect. Cross platform, open to all. Free to choose.

The add-on's are easier under Linux. No big deal.

You cad dual boot into a linux distro
You can learn how to load the missing libs (sometimes there are no missing libs)

Either way, post to the help forum and someone will help you, often the author of the add-on WB.

Hi

Sorry but still not sure how to install the latest (FC 15 ?) version for Windows 7.
Files in the Dropbox link seem to have been moved.

My machine details are ...
ASUStek
Intel Core 2 Quad cpu Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 Pro 32-bit operating system

My current FC details are ...
OS: Windows 7
Word size: 32-bit
Version: 0.14.3700 (Git)
Branch: releases/FreeCAD-0-14
Hash: 32f5aae0a64333ec8d5d160dbc46e690510c8fe1
Python version: 2.6.2
Qt version: 4.5.2
Coin version: 3.1.0
SoQt version: 1.4.1
OCC version: 6.5.1

Can you give me the files needed to run the best version of FreeCAD for Windows ?
Will I need Visual C Redist ? ( for some reason x64 failed, but x84 is loaded.[/i )

cheers  :)

They have started to publish them on the official SourceForge FreeCAD page under the " FreeCAD Windows / FreeCAD 0.15 development" folder
