Hi All,
I'm happy to announce that the first version of the ElectroMagnetic Workbench for the FastFieldSolvers free tools is available!
At present, the Workbench fully supports the FastHenry magnetoquasistatic impedance solver (i.e. inductance and resistance calculation of 3D structures). Needless to say, FastHenry is Open Source and imposes no limitations on the models it can handle (besides your computing resources).
The topic has already been discussed in the FreeCAD forum under FEM, see https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=31920
The Wiki documentation is fully available as well under https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/EM_Workbench
Direct link to Git repository is https://github.com/ediloren/EM-Workbench-for-FreeCAD
Hope you will enjoy!
Cheers
Enrico

Great work!
Thanks for your contribution to the FreeCAD ecosystem.
Now we need an acoustic WB.

Re: ElectroMagnetic Workbench
I think it is very cool.
In a previous life I have used EM solvers, like the method of the moments (MoM) and FDTD, mostly for antenna and PCB simulation. I am not familiar with FastHenry, but I find it awesome that you integrate these methods in FreeCAD.
I like your business model too. I really hope FreeCAD helps you professionally to reach to an even wider audience.

@abdullah
thank you. In this respect, you may be interested that I have also been invited to speak about electromagnetic parasitic extraction in the open source context, including our business model, at the Free Silicon Conference 2019 to be held at the Sorbonne University in Paris, on March 14th-16th, 2019.
I will post the news also in the relevant forum section, as this applies to public presentations that include FreeCAD, but for your reference here's the links:

Video recordings of the presentations (as well as presentation materials) will be available post-event.
Cheers,
Enrico

Re: ElectroMagnetic Workbench
Wonderful.
And how about strip and micristrip line stuctures and calculation of their S-parameters?
