Feature page on the FreeCAD homepage

Post by yorik »

I created a new static features page for the homepage, have a look!

Also did minor style fixes.
Any other suggestion, feel free to PR!
Need a new image for the file formats paragraph too.

I think we should still change the cog on the homepage to something more freecadish... I was thinking the exact same cog, but with a cool, originating sketch behind... Anyone up to the task?

G'day Yorik

A minor typo, see the extra "a<" after "Sketcher" in line 228 of the source code. At least it's line 228 when I right click "show source code" in Firefox. :)

Code: Select all

          <div class="col-lg-7 text-light text-center text-lg-left px-md-4">
            <h3>A parametric constraints-based 2D sketcher</h3>
            <p class="section-body whitelinks">
              FreeCAD features a state-of-the-art <a href="https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Sketcher_Workbench">Sketcher</a>a>

I like the current freecad logo, why change
Is there a reason to change than I am not aware of?

He is not talking about the logo, just the background image on that page. Other than that I agree with you about the logo, it has a long history and is shown by default in some TechDraw/drawing wb 2d drawings etc..
