Error 00:03:59
<Part> ViewProviderExt.cpp(1270): Cannot compute Inventor representation for the shape of europavehicle#union_Union_BC_ELM_DS_PROP_STRCTRE_MRK6_A004: Bnd_Box is void

Code: Select all

OS: macOS 10.16
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.20.28872 (Git)
Build type: Release
Python 3.9.12, Qt 5.12.9, Coin 4.0.0, OCC 7.5.3
Locale: C/Default (C)
Installed mods:
  * MeshRemodel 1.8919.0
  * ImportNURBS
  * dxf_library
  * InventorLoader 1.3.0
  * workfeature
  * Defeaturing
  * Macro-Vision
  * GDML 1.8.0
  * Manipulator 1.4.3
  * Design456
  * SWPart
  * OpenSCAD_Alt_Import
  * Jupyter
  * 3D_Printing_Tools
  * toSketch
  * Curves 0.3.0
As this is showing up on a boolean operation on a boolean and a straight box my suspicion that this maybe due to an OCC bug (i.e. OCC Regression).
What is best way of confirming and reporting to OCC?

I have passed this information along to him, I'll let you know if this is what he needed. I am no large-scale installation expert, so I don't really know what he needs :) .

Thanks for testing. However, this thread is about the beta builds for Windows. Please only use these builds when you report issues. You are using not a beta build.

For general issues like with OCC please start a new forum thread.

He reports that he was successfully able to automate the install -- thanks!

Sorry, I don't know why my previous post wasn't published, but I'll try to replicate it.(I clarify that it was with the first beta version of 0.20)
With the second beta version is where freecad does not run.

I have been trying to install freecad on a windows 7 system 64-bit for over 2 years with no success.
Seeing uwestoehr's post, hopes resurfaced and so far it is where I got the furthest with the installation.
When launching the program, the problem of the addon manager (QtNetwork + WebGui) appears

Additionally, the home page does not load.
And when opening a workbench (eg sketcher), it seems to run normally until I try to create a new document.

That is where the program fails.

Nice. However, I would be interested to know what command he executed (how he called the installer using CMD or the powershell)

The first version did not work therefore I released a second version. You say that this does not work.
Can you therefore please:
- install FreeCAD 0.20 and use the uninstaller the option to delete also the FreeCAD user settings (this option is very important!)
- log off from your Windows and relogin
- install FreeCAD 0.20 using the second beta release: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-Bund ... ller-2.exe

What are the file properties of the Qt5WebEngine.dll? You should see this:

Right? This is the same file we use for FreeCAD 0.19 since more than a year now and we have even developers using Win7.
Therefore I fear we cannot do much.
