Movement on Group of Objects

Is there a way to apply a movement/rotation on all selected objects? The only way I found was to create a union of the objects and move the union object. If I later want to get individual objects from that union at the location where they were in the union I would have to apply the movement of the union object to each of them individually...

Another option is to use Part MakeCompound. As for your question the answer likely depends on what would you like to do after with the individual objects.

I have a feeling you will want to try out 3rd Party module Assembly2 as it can be used to add relations between individual parts to form an (parametric) assembly of parts in 3D space. If you are not after that you still have control over individual object by modifying the original part parameters you used to create Compound/Union.
