Hello, newbie here trying to learn.
How can I most easily divide this single rectangular face(green) into 3 selectable faces?
I want to add 2 new edges into the model surface. (like the ones I drew in RED)
Ultimately, I want to use Part Design>Draft to 'angle' both outer faces from the 2 newly created edges.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Divide a face or surface?
Hi, welcome to the forum.
it is not possible to divide a face of a solid in 3 faces. I think you have to pocket the the 2 parts away from the sides of your solid as shown in the file

Re: Divide a face or surface?
Hi!
In 0.17, which you are using, you can! But it's done in Part workbench + Sketcher workbench.
1. Select Body, and in properties, View tab, change 'Display Mode Body' property to 'Tip'.
2. Select the face of the body, and in sketcher workbench, create new sketch (preferably, not in PartDesign, although as of now it will work too). Accept the pop-up about attachment.
3. Draw the slicing lines in Sketcher
4. Use Part Slice (first, select Body, then Sketch, then invoke Part Slice). Done!
However, I doubt you will be able to apply drafts to some of these faces. But it may be worth a try .
