FEM video for beginner

Post by bernd »

On German part of the forum we had a topic about introduction in FEM. Eventually I ended up making my first screen cast for FreeCAD. It includes simple post processing in VTK too. Sgrogan mentioned it could be useful for others here too. Here we are ..,

the file with the geometry:
klemme-fem.fcstd
(173.62 KiB) Downloaded 323 times
the screen cast:
https://youtu.be/j3UBHW_KVNo

FreeCAD version the video was made with:
0.17.9906

If you are interested in learning German the topic:

Hi Michael,

I like the idea of promoting FEM-wb! Thats why i tried to watch your video and wanted to share it with colleagues.

There is only one problem :o with your video. I think the "visual material" is a little bit faster then the sound or the other way around. When I jumped to the end of your youtube video I still here you speaking while I see you switching off the screencast-tool.
I tested i on firefox and chromium on two comps on ubuntu 16.04 and one mobile device and it is everywhere the same.
Can you please double-check?

Thanks in advance,
HoWil

You should be able to move the sound to the right position. This does work for sure, I have seen friends doing this, but I do not know how.
