You can alter the title of the thread and append (transportation engineering) to itJoel_graff wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 1:12 pmThat's my fault. Technically, structural design is civil engineering. Should have focused it a bit by specifying this is about transportation engineering...Interesting post but in the wrong topic. Your post is about structural design, this topic is about civil engineering design.

Re: Civil Engineering Design functions
Dear Joel_Graff:
I am a registered Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Florida, USA. I am currently working on a Development project with some like mined Computer Scientist. We are particularly aiming at using the WebAssembly platform. I, with the least formal training in Computer Science, am taking the lead on WebAssembly.
Our ultimate goal, for now is developing a website for Surveyor's and their real estate interested professionals providing a one stop website for land mapping research. This site will be limited to real property in Palm Beach County, Florida. We have a situation here of very distributed land information. A one stop website consolidating this info is missing in the market place.
That all said regarding my present work, I have extensive information on a, now unavailable software package for Civil Engineers and Surveyor's. It was on the market from about 1980 - 2000 when Professor Charles L. Miller, of MIT passed away. The package was picked up by McDonald-Douglas Corporation who migrated the software from it's Civil Surveying origins.
I would be more then happy to provide the information that I have or know the where abouts of. The package was called CLM Systems CEALs COGO.
Please reply at your convenience and I can share my thoughts with you.
Thanks for the time to read this.
All who are interested in this, please reply.

Re: Civil Engineering Design functions
I don't really know what to say about this. Honestly, if the software and it's source code could be released under an open source / free software license, it might be of great benefit. Otherwise, I don't know that it will be of much use to us, here.Joecoc1916 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 30, 2017 2:18 am Dear Joel_Graff:
