Seismic Country.... Actually for seismic we need to incorporate diagonals, but, who in his right mind tries to use light gauge as a shear wall?
that does not make a lot of sense to me, but putting those diagonals by hand is very easy right now!
Oh, sure you can use it in a seismic country if you make the right structural design.
Here you are with a Chilean brand of this technology that it is very popular. The name is METALCOM

 These little screws in the diagonals should resist the whole structure in an chilenian earthquake  :o

Jejeje. It's totally tested technology. 8-) https://earthquaketrack.com/p/chile/recent 8-)
The video explains that you can omit these diagonals if you cover the structure with something like plywood panels.
Also, the video shows a structure for seismic conditions. It considers three studs at the edge/corner and beams at the top of each wall.

this stuff weight is really low which means low earthquake forcrs too.

Well... for the dead weight yes, for live loads, nop, and those are big... remember we design always for a combination of Dead Weight + Live Loads + Accidental Loads (i.e. earthquake)

Not really, in my To do list was to automate the corners, inside and outside, shouldn't be that difficult, but since I have not seen a lot of interest, I have been doing other stuff...

I have refined this macro A LOT! I made my company invest resources (mine and another developer) into this macro. We fixed tons of special case bugs but most notably, we have created a very flexible algorithm for the panelization of the frame.

I am very excited to present the status of this to all you and hopefully get @yorik to put an eye on this as my goal is to get this software incorporated into FreeCAD arch module as standard functionality.

I have created a small video showing the functionality as of today (not all functionality is shown but most is) and have made the repository Free software.

Please check the first post on this thread as I have updated the Changes on the macro since it started.

Hopefully I can give something back to this awesome community of people that have made a CAD program for those that care about our freedom! :)

Thanks to all everyone in this forum that helped me figure out the solutions every time I "got the wagon stuck"
