I am new to Linux and to Freecad.
I really love the idea of open source and create things for others.
As opposed to other free CAD software I find that Freecad is more mature but has to go a long way to be useful and widely accepted (in my opinion).
As an engineer who uses (and used for many years) CAD programs such as NX, Inventor, Solidedge etc. I would like to help to improve this product.
But how to do that? Where to start?
All this forum is an ocean...
Say initially I want to give ideas for improvements, features, etc...how to do that?
Thanks,

Re: How to help Freecad?
It might help if you give an idea of what skills you have and what parts of FreeCAD interest you most if you want specific advice. Otherwise, as triplus says, just dive in!

First please get to know the software fully. Or at least more than just scratching the surface. Your Sketcher improvement suggestions prove that you have not done so.
