Changing the FreeCAD home directory

Post by TonyR »

Hi,

Is there a way to change the FreeCAD home directory to point to the directory where my pics for Sketcher are stored?

Every time I select the 'Import Picture' tool, it takes me to the FreeCAD directory.

I've looked under preferences etc., but can't find anything that lets me change the default directory...

TIA

You can create a shortcut and set the working directory.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

Perhaps it's the wrong term, but I cannot test it, because I have no english windows available.
It's not FreeCAD, it's pure Windows: You can create a Shortcut/Link/SymbolicLink e.g. on the desktop without copying. In the properties you can set the working directory.

Please, can an english Windows user help?
