Defeaturing Tools: how to edit a STEP model (parametrically)

Post by easyw-fc »

Hi,
waiting for the new OCC defeaturing tools that will be available in OCC 7.3, I played a bit with some defeaturing features using what FC0.18 has under the hood :D
Here my first steps with a STEP file and my new Removing Holes tool:

Still a lot to experiment, but it could be the start for a new WB ;)

Hey this looks really great. Currently I am rather occupied by making pockets in the right places than to remove them, but I guess times will come where I want to remove some foreign pockets. :)

It is nice when doing fem where holes take a lot of calculation time...

And there we are: FEM is on my list for a long time now, I have lots of stored bookmarks to things I want to investigate further.
