Enhancement - dimensions

Post by efyx »

I really like in SW, when first you prepare sketch and then extrude for example, that you can select sketch in 3d model view and all dimensions from sketch appear and you can select it and change without insering into sketch mode. Is it possible to add such functionality? Pic below.

The same is with further operations when you click for example extrude, all dimensions under this operation appears:

We have the direct editing mode with the possibility of changing properties in the Property tab; alas we don't have the visualisation of the measures without entering the edit mode.

Good you've mention it. You are right! Too many habits from SW (10 years do work).

Edit: uh that is available only for primitives, no sketch or pad (or am I wrong)?

For the Pad you have the Length attribute.
For sketches you have an unforlable attribut Constraints, easy to distinguish if the constraint in question has a name, otherwise you have to guess by the value. The latter is another good reason for having simple sketches.
