That's a big one! Maybe we should approach them and ask to fill bug reports or post suggestions, improvement ideas or patches if they do some code changes as well? I believe that cooperation with companies using FreeCAD to make money is very important.

Realy? I see a screenshot that was shared in twitter by Harris Kenny. But it is not clear that the company's design department is using FreeCAD in their workflow.

Right - there's no way to know without someone explicitly stating where FC fits into their workflow, but it's obvious it is a part of it. FC's learning curve is steep enough that I doubt they'd have done that much design in it on a whim. :)

The video is not about FreeCAD, and doesn't even mention it. What I would like to point out is the comments about FreeCAD. In v0.16 era, it was almost always like "freecad is hopeless", "freecad is piece o word censored", "freecad sucks". Now most replies range from "freecad is getting somewhere" to "freecad was massively improved" to "freecad is awesome". Looks like some good progress to me

With more and more examples of projects using FreeCAD the bad comments loss their sense.

I asked to Harry Kenny if they are using FreeCAD. He said the Thelio board was designed with KiCAD.

Certainly qualifies as a thought of the day. When you don't know. Ask! ;)
