Hmm luzpaz repo seems to have a pretty old state. The Version I have installed says "1.1: July 2018 (FreeCAD 0.17)" in the Readme. I installed it in November 2018.
I also removed a lot of "print" statements so that the version works with 0.18 and Py3.

Should I create a pull request with the Version I have installed to update luzpaz repo? As the License says "GPL" I think this should not be a problem.
Then there would at least be a pretty much up to date version available until we know what happend to the original repo.

Yes please!

The original author removed his repo, and AFAICS hasn't set up a new one anywhere. So basically I think we can consider, for now, the code as orphan, and indeed since it is GPL there is no problem in forking it and try our best to maintain it alive... It's not as we're trying to steal it or anything, if the author reappears, we'll gladly switch back to his version.

There is some sign of life from the SlopedPlanesMacro. https://github.com/furti/FreeCAD-ArchTextures/issues/23

Don't know why he created a new GitHub account and created an issue in my ArchTexture repo. For me it Looks a bit strange. Particularly after the event-stream incident with npm a while ago (https://blog.npmjs.org/post/18056538319 ... m-incident) I'm a bit cautious when some GitHub account or repository gets transferred.

I created a pull request in your SlopedPlanesMacro repository (https://github.com/luzpaz/SlopedPlanesMacro/pull/1). Maybe you can merge it so that a pretty up to date version is available in the addon manager.

He said about that on github some time ago, but AFAIK we never ever closed any forum account (besides spambots of course, but there is no way he could have been mistaken for a spambot I suppose... And if by bad luck it did happen, it's of course a mistake). But I could never get more info from him about that to find out what happened...

It's very odd. You can view the conversation at https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-addons/issues/111

It's a shame that this project has been publicly abandoned. I bet Arch WB could have benefited from this immensely

From what I can understand, joseCaceresSanchez on Github is damian here, the author of this topic. Is his account banned? Are simple forum users able to see so in his profile? It does not indicate "closed by Administrators" nor "cancelled" to me, nor banned. Yet he claims as such.

User damian was in fact banned. Because there were no warnings to the user I guess it happened by mistake. Sorry damian and welcome back.
