Twin Cylinder Steam Engine Model

This miniature assembly was created using 32 bit Windows 7 FreeCAD V0.13 Rev 1828 as a study in modeling linkages and tubing in 3D space using the Part Design workbench. The global axis was located at the point of symmetry so that maximum use of Part mirroring about the Z axis was possible as shown in the second screenshot. All parts were created in the same file and grouped by part name. Fasteners are generally not included in order to keep the file smaller to maximize performance during modeling.

Indeed. These are fascinating machines especially considering how long ago
they were invented. And, they can be an interesting challenge to model,
as you well know.
