Begin Workflow 1a: Add the same part to other things we will build

With the spindelmotor of my CNC-router comes a frequency converter like this one: frequency converter
It has no plugs or an OnOff-switch.

Here the wishlist:
  • - An extra housing
    - OnOff-Switch (yes, the same as above)
    - Powerplug (the same as the controller has)
    - Switch 'Auto/Manual'
    - Plug for the automatic control with the CNC controller
    - Poti 'Manual speed setting'
    - Switch 'Manual Start/Stop'
    - Status-LEDs to see the automatic Signals from the controller 'Start/Stop' , 'CW/CCW' direction
(the 'number of revolutions' i can follow at the display on the frequency converter
First we have to build the 'Folder structure' at the 'workroom':
  • AddOnFC
    • 0_Pictures
      1_Parts
      2_Assemblies
      3_Manufacturing Data
      4_KICAD
And the folder structure at the 'warehouse' for the frequency converter:
  • CNC_Spindel_FC
    • 0_Pictures
      1_Parts
      2_Assemblies
      3_Data_Sheet
We make a photo of the front panel of the frequency converter and save it in the '0_Pictures' folder of the frequency converter.
Now we can start FreeCAD with A2plus and save new empty files as follow (as shown in green):
  • CNC_Spindel_FC
    CNC_Spindel_FC_master
    CNC_Spindel_FC_asm
    • 0_Pictures
CNC_Spindel_FC_Front (photo of the front panel)
      1_Parts
      2_Assemblies
      CNC_Spindel_FC_housing_asm
      3_Data_Sheet
  • AddOnFC
    AddOnFC_master
    AddOnFC_asm
    • 0_Pictures
      1_Parts
      2_Assemblies
      AddOnFC_housing_asm
      3_Manufacturing Data
      4_KICAD

to be continued...

Hi, do you think you can produce a sample of files for reference?

That will be helpful in understanding the structure and techniques used :)

Thanks.

hi Paullee,

Sorry for the time you have waiting...

A reference modell will i create with the house_B.

At the moment i work on a easy technique to handle this:
- let come dimensions through the subassemblys to master and
- also let come the easy technic to have pictures on a face through the subassemblys to master.

why? Look:

- let come dimensions through the subassemblys to master and
Dimensions_not_in_MasterAssy_I.jpg
Dimensions_not_in_MasterAssy_I.jpg (12.25 KiB) Viewed 3515 times
Dimensions_not_in_MasterAssy_II.jpg
Dimensions_not_in_MasterAssy_II.jpg (17.48 KiB) Viewed 3515 times

- let come the easy technic to have pictures on a face through the subassemblys to master
Frequenzumrichter.jpg
Frequenzumrichter.jpg (35.95 KiB) Viewed 3515 times
Frequenzumrichter_I.jpg
Frequenzumrichter_I.jpg (82.34 KiB) Viewed 3515 times
These two easy ways to handle huge info's easy in a draft are missed for now...
Ok. The way was to speak with the guys that are the makers of A2 Plus. I have done it. But for now they will done A2 Plus at a release, that let be A2plus stable.
After them, it could be that this two techniques could come to the subassemblies.

kbwbe:
Hi Walter,
this is difficult and conflicts with basic concepts of the WB.
If very important, please reopen this issue in the whishlist.
regards
Walter

p.s.
Also i missed this little tool:
We have an 'open subassembly'-button:
![open_subassembly](https://user-images.githubusercontent.c ... 47f999.jpg)

It would be very helpfull to have also a 'save and close'-button
![save_close_subassembly](https://user-images.githubusercontent.c ... d1dd96.jpg)

to navigate fast trough subassemblies

A little Video.
It shows a walk through the huge data structure:

Thanks for the effort doing this tutorial which is inspiring indeed.

After watching the video, i think i need to try A2+ WB indeed :)

I haven't used 'native' BIM Create External Reference either, any comments?

Yes,

In my experience, these are the best settings for A2plus to use large amounts of data structured:

Hi Walter,

please search on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... alkthrough+

Sweet Home 3D is a costfree OpenSource program for Architecture.
http://www.sweethome3d.com/de/

It's great for rendering and for walkthrough.
Maybe this could be interesting for you.

Best regards

Hi Wilfried,

thank you for sharing this nice tool :)
My know are not big enough to explain what can i do with 'Sweet Home 3D' and 'handle huge data' easy.
This tool has potential, yes.

I think the guys behind 'Sweet Home 3D' could tell us more, and it would be nice when they come to this discussion about 'easy handle huge global data'.

Best Regards too
Walter

It's looking great, you should try it, I uses almost the same concept that is shown in this thread concerning th A2plus. I love that external reference tool.

Hmmm, indeed... I have been digging into Python exercise and long not trying FC functions itself :)
