Textsymbols DIN 7184

hi is there a way for DRAG and Drop text symbols input like in othere CAD systems
like a Drag Drop shown in this image

Not yet. This is on the v0.19 TODO list.

I did not know that (some of?) these symbols were available as unicode characters. I had thought we were going to have to use Svg images (available in the source distribution "../Mod/TechDraw/Gui/Resources/ToleranceSymbols"). The unicode characters would be much easier.

Die Symbole sind auser ASCII 216 nicht im Standard drin
gegen svg spricht eigentlich nichts

The unicode chars work nice! I just tested that by creating this macro: https://github.com/reox/FreeCAD_macros/ ... at.FCMacro

It can be used to set the format string of a dimension (although setting tolerances like this is not the proper way)

Don't they! According to this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geometric ... ng#Symbols, it looks like there are unicode code points for all the standard symbols.

And osifont seems to have the right glyphs for the code points! Gibberish example:

Oh, the modifiers also have unicode chars :)
btw there is also this extensive list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miscellaneous_Technical

Added them as well to the macro and created some grouping:
