Trouble creating boundary conditions

Post by Simwill87 »

Hi Everyone,

I started the elbow tutorial here but have issues creating the boundary conditions. Here is a screenshot of what I see when I select the boundary condition icon. Did I do something wrong? I have OpenFOAM 6 and FreeCAD 0.18 installed.

You're not up-to-date. latest stable is 0.18.16117
How did you build FreeCAD ? Where did you download from?
But you may benefit more from running 0.19_pre to benefit from the latest changes in CfdOF. You can use the AppImage since you're on Linux.

I'll have to check. I had someone else load it on my computer. Linux is still a bit new to me.

Then I recommend using the stable or development AppImage. It works like an .exe file on Windoze.

As I understand it, this was a packaging bug in the Ubuntu package, previously reported here. I understand it has been fixed now...but in any case I would agree with @Kunda1 that using the latest AppImage is probably the easiest route.
Please provide all the information requested in this post before reporting problems with CfdOF.
