In my workflow, where most mappings are in the same direction, I never arrived to your problem.

It is the kind of things that separates a raw functionality just merged, from something more established :D

I use carbon copies a lot and today even all the time. I benefit from your fix a lot and I think it should be considered to be backported to FC 0.18.2. I saw recent commits for 0.18.2 so maybe your fix could go in there as well?

I do not know which criteria is followed for backporting, but sgrogan is the one that is active with it.

Carbon copy related that should be clean to backport:
