This seems a strange happening, perhaps someone can enlighten me.
Making a water pump which involves ball valves, I tried to import into A2+ a sphere as a file "sphere_part" but it does not appear in the assembly, I then tried to import a drawn sphere file "Sphere_drawn" and this also would not appear in the assembly.
However I can import/insert a sphere directly from PartWB into the assembly file !
There should be one sphere 10mm above and one sphere 10mm below the visible sphere in the attached file Sphere_placement.JPG, I include the assembly, drawn and part sphere files I have used both of the imported file methods in FC V0.16 many times in the past never had a problem.
As can be seen 3 spheres appear in the model tree........
Not quite sure what to make of this, is this intentional, has anyone else experienced this problem?

Re: Another Assembly A2plus V0.4.23 question
Thank you KBWBE, I will update ASAP.
Any possibilities of an assembly overlap checker being added at a future date?
I am using A2 assembly checker in V18, I just have to ignore the "No module named "objectProxy"" message and the checker works fine.

Re: Another Assembly A2plus V0.4.23 question
Hi KBWBE. Have updated to A2+V0.4.25, unfortunately in my case at least, the problem persists, I even tried adding a Body to contain the imported files without success. I can still import a primitive sphere directly into an assembly file, attached latest try (using previous files).
Theoretically there should be six spheres on the screen.

Re: Another Assembly A2plus V0.4.23 question
Hi @unicorn,
for me it is working and i can directly import a sphere made by Part WB and a sphere made by PartDesign WB. Please have a look at my screenshot:
. .
My freecad version ist:
Code: Select all
OS: Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.18.1.
Build type: Release
Python version: 2.7.12
Qt version: 4.8.7
Coin version: 4.0.0a
OCC version: 7.3.0
Locale: German/Germany (de_DE)
The import was not working before the last fix. But now it works. (At least on my side). I am wondering why it is not working for you.

Re: Another Assembly A2plus V0.4.23 question
Thanks KBWBE for having another look at this, has anyone else reported having a similar issue?
I even tried running V0.18 as Administrator as V0.16 will only run that way on my PC , still no luck.
Attached snip of the same exercise in V0.16 with Assembly2 no problems encountered...........

Re: Another Assembly A2plus V0.4.23 question
Solved.
Thank you "easyw-fc" very much for your input which has solved the issue I was having.
I have to confess I did not look in the new A2+ preferences.
Attached resulting snips.
Thanks again.
