View keeps spinning and zooming

Hi,
I have exactly the same issue (spinning/rotating view once a document is loaded),
tried with own documents and with sample documents.

And as for arska, 0.17 worked fine.

Tried to reinstall, tried to delete old settings and start fresh, restarted windows after install...
Updated Video-Drivers. So far no luck.

It looks like something is feeding extra key-presses/mouse movements/... that only Freecad is catching. That is why I thought stuck key, blocked driver,... Do you have something that might be not considered standart - touch screen, leap motion, game controller, 3d mouse... connected to your PC?

OK, found it.

I did have a Logitech WingMan extreme connected via USB.

Once I unplugged it, the spinning stopped.

Thanks for your help, did not remember the Joystick, although not far away from the keyboard.
Only once I started to list the devices for you ....

It is essential for playing games like X4
But it is totally acceptable to unplug it until I know how to fix the spinning.

I have Logitech G27 racing wheel connected, and that causes this spinning thing. FreeCAD works fine if wheel is unplugged when FreeCAD starts. When FreeCAD is running, it does not care if I plug wheel back.

This is somewhat annoying, because Logitech G27 drivers are buggy with Windows 10, and often loses whole wheel if it's unplugged in wrong time. Then the driver must be re-enabled via device manager.

Can you check if it has some emulation mode or similar enabled? To make it work with older games/os/specific applications... And try and disable/enable/tweek them?

It's same as my case, I have 4 computer in my office. one is installed window 7, 32bit running well , no spinning , other computer surface pro 4 also good working, no spinning, But 2 of desk top computers (window 10, i7) keeps spinning 3d navigation, I can't use freecad program.
I think it is absolutely 0.18 version program error. I tried changed mouse, keyboard etc, everything efforts but start and spinning.

What is "etc."? What else do you have? 99% of the computers have just that as imput devices. If you had read the thread in other user cases this was caused from other input devices connected. Do you have such physical/virtual devices?

On that note is it possible to record input events in some way (pyton script, external app, command line switch...) to check for any strange input?

I can confirm that this same spinning happens in 0.19 when my Logitech G27 wheel is connected.
