Re: Solar diagrams
What exactly are you asking about? Solar diagrams or light and shadows?
The solar diagrams didn't work for a while because of different versions of Pysolar available. This has been improved in the latest code, and it's now possible to create diagrams again; see Pysolar with Arch Site.
About lights and shadows, nothing concrete has been developed yet. If you want to obtain a quick render, maybe you could use the Raytracing Workbench to produce a quick image with POV-ray. You can also export your FreeCAD model to Blender, and render from there. See the tutorials section in the wiki, in particular the rendering section.

Re: Solar diagrams
Oooh - I'd love to play with this.
Just a public question: does anybody else where use Radiance for sun / day / light analysis? I can think of lots of potential for integration here ...

Re: Solar diagrams
What?
Did you mean to say, "does anybody want to do radiance analysis?"
Everything you can implement in solar calculations is welcome.

Re: Solar diagrams
I'd love to see some Radiance integration in FreeCAD... Fortunately we have the right person here for that

Re: Solar diagrams
Thank you for the discussion. Grasshopper(Rhino) has a plugin called ladybug. Its is an open source plugin. If something like that could be implemented in Feecad, it would be great. It uses epw data.

Re: Solar diagrams
