clearest font with a fat bit?
hi
I'm just curious here and seeing how far I can push limits and being really lazy and attempting to engrave some numbers using a 6.25 mm end mill.
Does anyone have suggestions for most legible font?
Yes I am aware that a stick font is preferable, but specific question relates to engraving smallest possible letters and retaining legibility?
I have found some nice stick fonts that work well with a v-bit already.

I wonder if something is wrong with the forum software: The last two posts here seem to be a mixture of three topics:
- they seem to belong to First move
- they have the title "Resent change adds fixture without possibility to disable"
- they are attached here in "clearest font with a fat bit?"

I'm sure you will have fun with it, you even painted the room in a matching color!
May I ask ask how much it cost?

You can ignore this. Due to two moderators (sliptonic and I) being active in the forum at the same time, we had lost track of the posts for a short time period.

'funny thing is, I never noticed the matching colour until I put it together in the room and was looking for the oil pan

Re: clearest font with a fat bit?
Thanks for the link. Do you plan to add steppers or servos with glass scales?

Re: clearest font with a fat bit?
Funny you should ask, I spent all day "playing" with my servos - although I'll use them like steppers. I'm planning on using Machinekit to drive them but I still have to design the interface (electronics) and I haven't gotten the mechanical conversion kit yet (ballscrews and motor mounts)
I'm hesitant to post links to the pieces I'm planning to use since I don't know yet how it'll work out. As for the mill - I have only praise for the mill and the vendor. The only "issues" I ran into could've been avoided by reading (or at least skimming) the freely available manual
