Merge of Link3 branch into master

Post by wmayer »

Hello all,

the long awaited Merge3 branch has been merged into master.

Beware of that this causes quite some instabilities here and there and it's recommended not to use this version in production systems until the most critical bugs have been fixed.

Thanks @realthunder for you huge amount of work AND @wmayer for checking the code and merge it in!!

Edit: somehow i expected a gitversion 18XXX or somewhere XXXXX additions and XXX deletions or so... i have to figure out how this big changes works someday...

Thanks a lot both @wmayer & @realthunder :)

@sgrogan, please keep a pre-merging FC releases available for 0.19 on GH.

I don't follow assembly-related topics closely, but I measure this was a big step to reach.
Thanks Realthunder, Werner, and all others involved, I feel happy tonight !

The original branch had a messed up history where more than 40 commits appeared twice (but with different hash number). So, I had to cherry-pick all relevant commits by hand and that's why version number is < 18000.

Thank you Realthunder, Wmayer and all others involved in this step towards a stronger FreeCAD with an assembly.
