A simplified second sketch version for the specula_holder

For the specula holder the sketches that you can see in the screenshots are the one from the file already in the repository and my modification that IMO looks cleaner and more easily understandable if needs to be modified. The final body is same.

I admit that the screen is less cluttered. However maybe the fact that the hexagon is "almost regular but not exactly" can be error prone. I originally model it with things that geometrically makes sense to me (hence the criss-cross 4 triangles ). But I know from past discussions that it may not be shared by others.

Anyway @tarek, if kisolre's proposal seems valuable to you, tell it and I (or other) can submit a new accordingly modified model.

I accept kisolre's model as an improvement over the one I submitted.

Not to say that this is what TheMarkster mean, but on my side I absolutely don't want to be considered as some kind of "maintainer" of the models I uploaded. They are offered as is, and community should feel free to modify/improve/overwrite them.

However in a long-term approach, I think it's not a good thing that the design is directly linked to original mesh with projected then interpolated curve. A design from scratch will probably last longer.

For the assembly, It's better to use a simple copy shape, I think.
