See topic title. What is the simplest method to messure distance of parallel faces and paralles edges?

I need this any day quite a few times.

I used to like using the measurement tools of Part WB, they aren't bad.
But my favourite is the measurement module of Manipulator WB.

If you combine it with WorkFeature WB to put vertices everywhere you're in pretty good shape.

Something I have not yet tried is the tool (forgot the name) that populates all vertices in the part mesh. That would emulate I think the behavior found in other CAD softwares where if your mouse flies over near the center of an edge or center of mass of a face a vertex appears that you can grab onto.

...
Std Measure Menu

It calls Part functions, like Part Measure Linear.

- Select both faces
- Part->MeasureLinear
- Part->ToggleDelta

you can also use Caliper and measure the angle between parallel faces.. it will gives you the parallel distance

Of course. Check the external workbenches list. The "pseudo-assembly" list has a lot of tools that help you position things. With Manipulator Workbench you have that Caliper tool.
