A sketch scaling
Hi!
How can I scale evenly the sketch?
I have a base sketch. I want to have a scaling copy of the base sketch (more and less).
The sketch is simple, but his shape is complicated. The sketch's contour consists of one spline.
I use the Image WB to draw the shape from a picture.
I use FC 0.18.

Hello
use Draft >clone and >scale , but the problem is : the scale use XoY for origin and th escaled curve becam not proportional :

Re: A sketch scaling
Thanks, I have already tried it.
But I need a fully functional sketch that can be used with Pad in Part Design.
And I need a proportional scaling!
Hmmm... I will try to explain (sorry for my English). A scaling sketch's contour must be equidistant to base sketch's contour.
Maybe, I should use Draft WB, but I do not know how...

Re: A sketch scaling
So what you need is not a scaled sketch but an offset one.
Unfortunately offset is not yet implemented in Sketcher.
There is an offset tool in Draft but I'm not enough familiar with it to know if it will work. Hopefully someone here knows.
What seems possible to me is to export your sketch as SVG, offset it in Inkscape then import it back to FC.

I am so sad
I have tried it. But it works badly or I am not able to use itThere is an offset tool in Draft but I'm not enough familiar with it to know if it will work. Hopefully someone here knows.
Hm... How can I import svg? Will imported sketch be a full functional sketch to use with Part Design WB?What seems possible to me is to export your sketch as SVG, offset it in Inkscape then import it back to FC.
Re: A sketch scaling
Ok, I will tell you about my goal. I need to make a shape for biscuits.
How can I draw it in FC?
I use Import WB to load an image and use Part Design WB (sketches) to draw the contours. But I need a scaling copy some sketches...
Maybe I should use Draft WB, I am estimating it now...

Re: A sketch scaling
this tutorial woudt be best
Re: A sketch scaling
I have tried it!
But this spline (only in Draft WB!) does not allow to form my shape! Maybe, spline's type is not suitable for it or my using is wrong...

Hi i made you a modell
if you only ned the outside select the shape in the extrude
all files SVG DXF inside the ZIP
