Re: Part->Chamfer does not work
I took your SVG. The Sweep tool works. But the result is wrong...
What Sketch did you use to form a shape for Sweep using?

Re: Part->Chamfer does not work
If you have simplified the path please upload the file again.

Re: Part->Chamfer does not work
The crash happens on the first sharp right bend if going from the section to the left. My guess is, that the path segments are very slightly non tangential and that this causes problems. Have you tried converting the path into a sketch?

Re: Part->Chamfer does not work
Did you mean a selected segment of the path (path3384 or Sketch) on an attached screenshot?
Yes, I have. It is "Sketch" in my file. I used it with a Sweep tool. I had a same result...Have you tried converting the path into a sketch?

Re: Part->Chamfer does not work
I will be very glad for your manual, thanks
It seems, it will need to study Blender or something like one...
I wanted to use only FC, but I already use Inkscape

Re: Part->Chamfer does not work
the importent one is gimp
to offset the shape
in inkscape
you need to tweaken also the settings on Bitmap Vectorising
there are options on the Reiter
as pixel limits from 2->4
the shape precision to be svg from 0,6 to 1or even 1,2
there is another option that gives you the toleranz from 0,2 set it to 0,6
i guss you already did get the selection on png load to get smooth corners
there is lots to do bevor Fc or Blender that makes live very easy i atached all files for tutorial A
the blend file is to big to be atached
