So.. he said FreeCAD is actually the *preferred* option to available commercial alternatives for at least one workflow where he works.

That's icing on the cake, right there. ;)

That piston example is great.

But I can't put the cylinder in horizontal way and can't revovle the rectangle face with my build 3225 under win-xp.

Must installed a linux version to try it.

Perhaps they are using FreeCAD behind the scenes?
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.
