[TechDraw] balloon text placement issue

Post by uwestoehr »

In the new balloon annotation feature I noticed that the text inside the balloon is not centered. It looks not nice and I cannot find a way to center the text inside the balloon:

However, in the images I find in the Wiki: TechDraw_Balloon, the text looks perfectly centered. is there a special option or trick?

Btw., as you can see the view has too large crosses for the arcs/circles. How can I reduce their size to make the view better readable?

To possibly assist narrowing it down, build 0.19.18284 was the last one where I have the text centred correctly (approx. 24/09/2019) and the first build I have where it goes off centre is 0.19.18351 (approx. 28/09/2019).

I haven't had the need for the balloons up to present so I have only just noticed that the colour of the text is correct (for those of us who like to have anything but black) but the arrow is always black as opposed to how dimensions work with both the arrow(s) and text being the same colour.

Many thanks!

Wandererfan, I think you might have an idea, right?

The size of the center marks can be adjusted with ViewTab->Decoration->Center Scale. The center marks can be turned off with ViewTab->Decoration->Arc Center Marks.

As for the Balloon text, I don't remember any changes to Balloon for the last 3-4 months, so I'll have to dig into that one.

Many thanks. I will update the corresponding Wiki page TechDraw_NewProjGroup right now and come up with further questions if I have some.
