Issue with mixed resolution, high-DPI displays

Post by romain145 »

I have a Dell XPS with a 4k display and an external Full-HD screen.
FreeCAD doesn't display well on neither of them.
On the Full-HD the buttons/fonts are just huge:

And on the 4k screen, the fonts are really small:

The computer is running windows 10.

Can you post the content of: Help > About FreeCAD > Copy to clipboard?

It would be good to know if your version uses Qt4 or Qt5.

I have a 4k and a WUXGA display. Both get the font size wrong on startup.
I can fix it by zooming (<CTRL><SCROLLWHEEL>), but FreeCAD doesn't remember.

...
The computer is running windows 10.
This is an OS problem, not FreeCAD: I have the same hardware with Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 KDE/Plasma), and FreeCAD runs and displays perfectly.
try the Assembly4 workbench for FreCAD — tutorials here and here
