SEGFAULT/SIGABRT on Fedora 31

Post by hobbes1069 »

This seems to be worse on Wayland but crashes on Xorg as well...

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1768480
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1766171

I've been working on getting FreeCAD up to snuff for some time now, recent activites:

PySide -> PySide2
Coin3 -> Coin4 (Rawhide only technically)
OCE -> OCC

Even the packages from my COPR[1] crash which has the whole Coin3D stack moved to Coin4...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,

Try to get a confirmation if the crash still occur on different hardware (different GPU and driver).

I haven't upgraded yet but plan to this weekend if I have time which will make troubleshooting easier.

I installed it in VirtualBox but booted to a black screen, just haven't had time to troubleshoot.

Unfortunately I'm just going to have to move back to the Coin3 stack for Fedora 30 and 31. Once Fedora 32 releases everything will be moved over to Coin4. Doing builds now.

Thanks,
Richard
