Annotations on drawings

Post by Maavhamt »

Hi,
I have just updated an old drawing but have forgotten how to update the annotations! Also they have got jumbled up somehow. Please advise how I update and align the annotations. Thanks.

It's OK I've just worked in it out. "Editable Texts" in the "Page" tab on the tree...
Problem solved.

No I haven't, I can edit the text but not the position on the drawing, so I'm still stuck.

How was this file created?
In the TechDraw Workbench or (the now obsolete) Drawing Dimensions Workbench ?

PS please fix your signature (it has some rogue bbcode)

It is Drawing WB. You can tell by the checkerboard background.

Drawing Dimensions was an add on for Drawing.

The Drawing Workbench is obsolete. To modify these files, you should stick to FreeCAD 0.16 and use Drawing there.

The newer TechDraw Workbench is the replacement since 0.17. In 0.18 it has more tools, and it's much more improved in 0.19 (in development).

Nobody is maintaining the Drawing Workbench nor the Drawing Dimensioning Addon, so our recommendation is to re-create your drawings in TechDraw, or to stick with the old version.

OK guys thanks it was in DrawingDimension a couple of years ago that I made that drawing. So I'll use the new bench.
